You feel like you just don’t have enough energy to get out of bed. Usually it starts with being late and ends with calling “sick” very frequently. Lack of energy is a clear signal – you need a vacation. Even a short vacation can do the trick and get you back on track.

2. Lack of motivation

You used to be excited about your work and workplace. Now you count minutes to the end of the day. You miss meetings and don´t keep deadlines. You have lost your motivation to perform and don’t want to socialize with co-workers. All those small characteristics are very common warning signs of job burnout and should be address as soon as possible – isolation and low performance can have a dramatic consequences!

3. Overreaction

Your mind is tightly connected to your body. If your mind is suffering from burnout, you start to feel it in your body as well. You feel weak, you have head-, neck- or backaches and you are not resistant to viruses. All these are most probably warning signs of job burnout – a clear message, that its time to recharge your batteries.
