You just have to mentally focus and be determined to change your state of mind from stressed to de-stressed.

    The mind can be taught to be “awakened” anywhere. The stress can be melted away at will and the mind totally quieted. Total relaxation of body, mind, and soul is not an impossible just because you are on the clock.

    1. Separate yourself from whatever is stressing you out

    One of the big things to do to de-stress while at work is to separate yourself from the person or situation that is stressing you out. Get away from the scene and go somewhere where you can be alone until you get your calm back. Go to the employee lunch room, the bathroom, or up and down in the elevator, the list goes on. By diffusing the conflict, you are helping to diffuse your own stress and frustration.

    2. Practice deep breathing

    When you are in a place where you can be all alone or at least in peace and stillness. You can either practice Yoga breathing exercises or just keep taking three deep breaths in a repeated process. Breathing deeply helps one to feel better and be able to get a grip on their emotions.

    3. Massage your ears

    Another great way to de-stress while at work is to massage your ears. You can begin by rubbing your earlobes with the help of your thumb and an index finger. Begin to squeeze the outer tips of your ears all the way up to the top and repeat it twice. Then take your thumbs and index fingers to go behind your ears. Take and massage behind your ears on the spot where your bony part of the skull is located. This whole de-stress process takes only about a few minutes and does help in releasing endorphins into your brain to start making you feel good again.

    Laughter has often been defined as being good medicine and you can make yourself laugh by focusing on something funny. No matter if it is a goofy memory, a joke, or just the mere thought of anything hilarious. Be determined to produce a really good laugh that will help chase your stress away.
