1. Get enough sleep

Prevent accumulated sleep debts.  Get more and enough shut-eye.  We find it very easy to cut down especially when days are very busy and time may seem too tight.  However it may be a shortcut to dire consequences.  Sleep is essential for healthier life – it fuels body process that will help repair and safeguard our complex systems and essential organ functions.  When you hold back on sleep your hormones can go erratic, causing disorder on your body by aggregating stress hormones that result in weight gain, high blood pressure and even immune depression.

2. Drink wisely

Beverages are often one of the biggest culprits for hidden kilojoules in our food diets.  From soft drinks to beer and alcoholic drinks at bars to fat coffees – we find ourselves in a dilemma of beverage kilojoules every day.  If you can’t seem to deviate totally from these drinks, try water with a taste of lemon or fruit juices.

3. Don’t forget to take multivitamins

Many of would think that we don’t need to get vitamins and minerals since we happily indulge in foods.  However, with what we commonly eat today, we don’t get the required vitamins and minerals we actually need in our diet.  So to make up for what we have missed in our food diets when it comes to the required nutrients we should take multivitamins every day.   Look for the vitamins that will be able to provide for the recommended daily intake for the 12 necessary vitamins and minerals.

4. Socialize with family and friends

Allot some time every day for your family and friends.  Research provides that keeping and continuing solid shared connections and maintaining intellectually active as we grow older can decrease the risk of rational decline. With socializing, you will also be able to reduce stress and keep you emotionally fit and healthy.

5. Exercise or consider taking yoga

Keeping fit will not only help your physical attributes but will also help keep you mentally productive.  You can start your day with a yoga routine that will be able to provide you with strength, flexibility and flexibility.  At first, you may feel the pain as your muscles burn more fat but with constant exercise and yoga your body is being trained to protect itself from injuries.
