Be so kind and share the knowledge!

Our lives are busy. With most of us working at least eight hours a day, it can be hard to find any amount of personal time. When not at work, our time may be filled with trips to the gym or driving around to see friends and family. It can be a struggle for a couple to hold on to their own moment.

Planning dates are important in any relationship. Setting aside regular time each month to just be together and be in love can be hard to find amid all the other events of life. Don’t let dates with your spouse be nothing more than another obligation in life. Use those soothing date ideas for married couples and spend some quality time with your loved ones.

3 Soothing Date Ideas for Married Couples

    1. Go On a Picnic

This idea requires a nice day and a bit of travel, but once you have arrived at your destination, the rest of the day is nothing but relaxing. On a nice spring or summer day, prepare some easy food, like sandwiches or fruit, and set out for a beautiful scenic park.

The point of going on a picnic is to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Bring along a Frisbee, a book or a small radio to enjoy time with. Sure, you can easily lay in each other’s arms and read a book at home, but taking the effort to go somewhere nice makes the date feel extra special. Resist the urge to be overly romantic or spend a ton of money on anything. Enjoy the sun, enjoy being in love and whatever you do, don’t forget the sunscreen.

    2. Have a Spa Date

This is on the expensive side of things but is probably the most soothing date idea of all. If you want to do something extra special that also avoids too much activity and stress, a trip to the spa is the way to go. Melt away together with sensual massages.

Depending on where you go, there are many different kinds of spa treatments. There is the usual body massage. Different places will have different oils and scents for the massage. Foot and hand massages are also common. Some places also offer soothing stone massages where smooth rocks are places strategically on your body. A spa date is unique and well worth the time. Not only will you spend some quality time with your spouse, but you will also reap the relaxing benefits of the spa throughout the week.

    3. Plan a Romantic Dinner and Movie at Home

While this may seem like the most obvious date idea for married couples, it can actually be the most challenging. Preparing the dinner, especially if you’re not used to cooking or don’t have a lot of time to cook can be stressful. In an effort to create romance, a person may assume the movie of choice should be a love story. If this kind of movie doesn’t thrill you, then the thought of sitting through one won’t do much for stress either.

Focus on the relaxation element of the date. If cooking isn’t your thing, don’t fret about it. Order out for dinner. You may want to choose something a bit more classy than pizza, but if that’s what you and your spouse find relaxing, go for it. Nothing is off limits. Think about finding a few candles to add atmosphere. Choose a movie you both like. The best movie for a relaxing night is a favorite you have already seen. Since you are familiar with the movie, you aren’t obligated to pay complete attention. This gives you and your spouse the opportunity to flirt with each other and have a good time.

Don’t let the stress of life prevent you from spending quality time with the most important person in your life. Going on a date does not have to feel like another obligation. Take a deep breathe and simply enjoy each other’s company.
