Nobody else can run for you. That’s how health should be thought of first and foremost. If health fails, the bearer has no one else to blame. If you’re in danger, you cannot tell someone else, “Run for my life!” And blaming health failure on something else is barking up the wrong tree. You should learn how to be responsible for your own health.
Don’t Blame Doctors
Some people won’t take action for their health unless doctors tell them so. They wait for the grim diagnosis before they start getting serious with their health. For instance, prior to a hypertension finding, they’d keep eating fatty food and abuse their bodies with vices. After test results are out finding them positive with hypertension, then they start with their health regimens.
Don’t wait for test results or doctors to find you positive with a disease. Start taking charge of your health now, before test results find you out. Have your regular check ups, eat healthy, and exercise regularly. Be responsible for your own health.
Don’t Blame Unhealthy Food
Eating out often makes you more exposed to unhealthy food than when you eat at home. The rampant use of chemical ingredients in commercialized food makes almost all of us victims of chemical intoxication. Little by little chemicals in food accumulate in our body systems and destroy our cells. That is not to mention the carcinogens and free radicals we get from unhealthy food. Even “fresh” vegetables and fruits are often high in chemical pesticides. And how about the transfat and bad cholesterol?
But this fact offers no excuse for you to be blaming health failure on something else. There’s always a choice of whether one would opt for healthy or unhealthy food. We should be responsible enough to think and decide right. It may be a bit more costly to be choosing only healthy food items to eat, but the additional cost is all worth it. It’s a worthy investment.
Don’t Blame the High Cost of Being Healthy
Don’t make the high cost of being healthy an excuse for your unhealthiness either. Yes, gym and health club memberships are expensive, and so are most food supplements. But you can always improvise. Why not start growing your own organic herb garden in your backyard? Or look for cheap gym memberships. Better yet, why not just walk briskly each morning for 45 minutes?
Literally, you have to run for your life. Running is a good workout. Or else, jog or brisk walk. You don’t need membership for this and you only need to buy white shirt and shorts plus a pair of running shoes. There’s no reason why you can’t get a decent workout daily. Be responsible for your own health. If there’s a will, there’s a way.
Don’t Blame Pollution
Most people blame pollution for their unhealthiness. Indeed, pollution can wreak havoc on health, but don’t just stand there doing nothing but inhaling all the smog. Take time to get up early and explore the wonders of a nearby park or forested area. Trees and plants absorb pollution and give off oxygen. Or walk or run along the seashore barefooted.
And anyway, there are practical ways to avoid too much pollution and even lessen it. Wear a mask in smoggy areas. Take other routes where fresh air is more available. And check if your car is smoke belching. Quit smoking.
You have to run for your life, not just because running is good exercise, but because no one else will take you away from health hazards. Stop blaming health failures on something else. Be responsible for your own health.
